Of Mice & Men by John Steinbeck
Performances July 2-5, 9-12 Season Calendar>>>
One of the most celebrated American stories--as powerful as it is entertaining. John Steinbeck's Of Mice & Men speaks beautifully and eloquently to the tragedy of the Great Depression and the joy in simple acts of charity and kindness. Of Mice and Men tells the story of two of America's most recognizable and memorable characters: George Milton and Lennie Small. George and Lennie are both drifters, ranch hands who travel together, roaming the wild California landscape. But they are polar opposites in appearance and demeanor. George is small in stature and a tired, jaded man, while Lennie is a gentle giant who's remains content and happy as long as he and George are together and dreaming of a better day. Upon their arrival at a new ranch, they meet a new and special group of friends, rivals, and misunderstood outcasts. George and Lennie's beautiful story comes to life this July at Tidewater Regional Repertory, and whether you are a longtime fan or new to Steinbeck's magnificent story, we invite you to come join George and Lennie on their powerful and unforgettable journey. |
