Auditions
Seasonal auditions for our summer productions, both AEA and non-union, are normally held the first week of February. Audition notices are posted on this webpage, on the AEA audition website and in Backstage no later than January 1, 2009. All auditions for TRR are made by appointment only. We welcome all actors' resumes; however, each audition cycle requires actors to make an audition appointment. Although audition requirements vary, generally actors auditioning will be asked to perform either two brief monologues (appropriate genre), or one brief monologue and 32 bars of a song. Call backs are usually held throughout February and casting is complete by March 15th.

TRR recognizes that the artist is central to creation of theatre. And since compelling theatre is, by necessity, created by talented, engaged and inspired artists, TRR is dedicated to attracting the finest designers, technicians, actors and administrators available regionally and nationally for each production season.

Internships
TRR promotes educational experiences that enhance the artistic vitality of the greater Hampton Roads Community while offering internship opportunities for CNU and local university students to work collectively with visiting guest artists in a high-quality artistic environment. Internship opportunities vary from year to year, but generally, internships are offered each summer for:

Acting/Performance

Stage Management

Assistant Director

Company Management / Arts Administration

Applications for internships are available each January from our company manager or may be downloaded from this site.
